Entry Requirements

The OTHM Level 5 Extended Diploma in Information Technology is designed for learners aged 18 and above.

The entry profile typically includes one of the following:

  • A relevant Level 3 Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • GCE Advanced Level in 2 subjects or equivalent qualification
  • Mature learners (21+ years) with relevant management experience (learners should confirm their eligibility with the delivery centre prior to registration)

English Language Requirements

Duration and Delivery

Assessment and Verification

All units are internally assessed by the delivery centre and externally verified by OTHM. The qualification is criterion-referenced, meaning learners must meet the specified learning outcomes and assessment criteria to achieve a ‘pass’.

To complete the assessment process, learners must provide evidence demonstrating achievement of the outcomes and standards. Assessors judge learner performance and provide an audit trail to document how decisions were made.
