The OTHM Level 5 Extended Diploma in Law offers learners the opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of core legal principles while acquiring essential professional and research skills.

Learners will study both Level 4 and Level 5 units, earning 120 credits per academic year, for a total of 240 credits throughout their studies. This qualification is equivalent to the first two years of a UK Bachelor’s degree with Honours.

The programme equips learners with the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career in law, supporting preparation for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination.

Entry Requirements OTHM Level 5 Extended Diploma in Law

This qualification is designed for learners aged 18 and above.

The typical entry profile includes one of the following:

  • GCE Advanced Level qualifications in 2 subjects or equivalent qualifications

The OTHM Level 5 Extended Diploma in Law comprises 12 mandatory units, totalling:

To demonstrate achievement, learners must submit evidence that fulfills the learning outcomes and standards. Assessors evaluate performance and provide an audit trail detailing how their judgments were made.
