Overview

ATHE Level 5 Combined Extended Diploma in Business and Management is a comprehensive 240-credit Ofqual regulated qualification (Qualification No: 610/2480/6) covering both Level 4 and Level 5 (equivalent to Year 1 and Year 2 of a UK Bachelor’s degree). Blending theoretical insight with practical management skills, this diploma serves as a direct progression route into the Final Year (Top-Up) of a UK Bachelor’s degree or direct entry into leadership employment.

Course Structure & Units (Total 240 Credits):

  • Mandatory Units (120 Credits): The Business Environment (15 Credits), People in Organisations (15 Credits), Financial and Management Accounting Techniques for Managers (15 Credits), Communication Skills for Business (15 Credits), Business Organisations in a Global Context (15 Credits), People Management (15 Credits), Finance for Managers (15 Credits), Research Project (15 Credits).
  • Optional Units (Choose 120 Credits): Learners select 8 optional units (15 credits each) across Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Operations, Business Law, Sustainability, CSR, CRM, Strategic Decision-Making, Auditing, and Business Ethics.

Entry Requirements

Minimum Age: 18 years and above.

Academic Qualifications:

A Level 3 or Level 4 qualification (such as GCE A-Levels, ATHE Level 3/4 Diploma, or HSC) or an equivalent international qualification.

Prior work experience in a business-related field is beneficial and considered for mature learners.

English Language Proficiency: IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2, PTE Academic 42–49, CAE 162+, or an approved equivalent.
